Amberley A&P Competition - Ts & Cs

1. Promoter

 

1.1 The promoter of this competition is LawR Limited (“LawR”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

 

2. Promotion Period

 

2.1 The competition commences at 12.00 am on 1 October 2026 and closes at 5.00 pm on Friday, 30 October 2026 (“Promotion Period”).

 

3. Eligibility

 

3.1 The competition is open to LawR clients who have an eligible property sale or purchase matter that settles during the Promotion Period.

 

3.2 An “eligible matter” means a property sale or purchase Settlement transaction for which LawR is acting as the legal adviser and which completes settlement during the Promotion Period.

 

3.3 The relevant transaction must actually settle during the Promotion Period. Signing an agreement, going unconditional, satisfying conditions, or having an anticipated settlement date during the Promotion Period does not constitute settlement for the purposes of this competition.

 

3.4 Where LawR acts for more than one person in relation to the same property transaction, the transaction constitutes one eligible matter and one entry only, regardless of the number of clients involved.

 

3.5 Where LawR acts for a client in relation to more than one separate property transaction which each settle during the Promotion Period, each separate eligible matter will constitute a separate entry.

 

3.6 The competition is not open to LawR employees, contractors, or their immediate family members.

 

4. Entry

 

4.1 No separate entry or additional payment is required.

 

4.2 Each eligible matter that settles during the Promotion Period will automatically receive one entry into the draw.

 

4.3 Entry is conditional upon the relevant matter completing settlement in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

 

4.4 LawR will maintain the list of eligible matters and entries for the purposes of conducting the draw.

 

5. Prizes

 

5.1 There are two prizes available.

 

5.2 Each prize consists of one standard admission ticket to the 2026 Amberley A&P Show, to be held on Saturday, 31 October 2026.

 

5.3 The total prize pool consists of two tickets, with a retail value of $15 per ticket and a total prize pool value of $30.

 

5.4 The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable for cash, or redeemable for any other goods or services.

 

5.5 The prizes are subject to any terms, conditions, restrictions or requirements imposed by the Amberley A&P Show or the ticket issuer.

 

5.6 LawR is not responsible for any cancellation, postponement, alteration or other change to the Amberley A&P Show or any loss or inconvenience arising from such a change.

 

6. Draw

 

6.1 Two winners will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries, by independent party.

 

6.2 The draw will take place on Friday, 30 October 2026, after the close of the Promotion Period.

 

6.3 Each eligible entry has an equal chance of being selected.

 

6.4 A client may only win one prize in this competition.

 

6.5 If an entry is selected and is subsequently found not to satisfy these Terms and Conditions, that entry will be deemed ineligible and another entry will be drawn.

 

7. Notification of Winners

 

7.1 The winners will be contacted using the contact details held by LawR for the relevant client matter 4pm on Friday, 30 October 2026.

 

7.2 If LawR is unable to contact a winner within 48 hours of the first attempted notification, LawR may conduct a further random draw to select an alternative winner.

 

7.3 A winner may be required to confirm their identity and eligibility before the prize is awarded.

 

7.4 The names of the winners will not be published without their consent.

 

8. Settlement Timing

 

8.1 For the avoidance of doubt, an eligible matter must have actually completed settlement by 5.00 pm on Friday, 30 October 2026 to qualify.

 

8.2 If settlement does not occur by that time for any reason, including a delay by a party, lender, agent, LINZ, another professional adviser, or any other person, the matter will not qualify for entry.

 

9. Changes to the Promotion

 

9.1 LawR reserves the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition where reasonably necessary due to circumstances outside its reasonable control, provided that LawR will not do so for the purpose of unfairly disadvantaging a participant.

 

9.2 If the competition is amended, suspended or cancelled, LawR will provide reasonable notice through its website or social media channels where practicable.

 

10. Privacy

 

10.1 Personal information provided to LawR in connection with an eligible matter will continue to be handled in accordance with LawR’s usual privacy obligations and policies.

 

10.2 Information held by LawR will only be used for the purposes of administering the competition, contacting winners, and complying with any legal or regulatory obligations.

 

10.3 LawR will not use a winner’s name, photograph or other identifying information for promotional purposes without the winner’s consent.

 

11. General

 

11.1 Participation in the competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

 

11.2 LawR may verify the eligibility of any entry before awarding a prize.

 

11.3 LawR’s records of eligible matters and entries will be determinative for the purposes of administering the competition, subject to any rights a participant may have under applicable New Zealand law.

 

11.4 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

 

11.5 This competition is governed by the laws of New Zealand.
